Shawnee State has four outstanding degrees in biology that prepares its graduates for careers in science, as well as providing a strong preparation for students interested in graduate or professional schools.

If more specialization is desired, students can elect to choose one of two tracks listed below:
- The BS Biology: Biomedical Sciences Track degree prepares its graduates for careers in the sciences, as well as providing a strong preparation for students interested in medical or professional schools.
- Shawnee State's BS Biology: Organismal Biology Track degree is designed for students interested in a broad intellectual foundation in life science. Students completing this degree are prepared for careers or graduate programs in a broad range of biologically related areas.
Our BS Natural Sciences with a concentration in biology degree provides students with both a depth in biology and a breadth in the Natural Sciences. As part of the program, students take 27 hours of biology coursework and 24 hours of courses in chemistry, geology, physics, and mathematics.
