Government Relations at Shawnee State University serves campus to liaison between the institution and local, state, and federal government.

Through scheduled events, outreach programs, and communications, Government Relations advocates for and advances the university policy agenda, connects students and faculty to agencies and elected leaders, and showcases university achievements to public stakeholders.

Engagement activities occur regularly on campus, throughout the Appalachian Ohio region, in Columbus, and in Washington, DC. Shawnee State actively seeks to develop and strengthen partnerships that benefit the University, the City of Portsmouth, the Appalachian region, and the State of Ohio.
