The Ohio Emergency Medical Technician Course (EMT) course provides the framework upon which all other emergency care skills and knowledge are based.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant course will prepare you to work as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), designated by the National Healthcare Career Association (NHA).

Shawnee State University is a leader in regional entrepreneurship through our new Kricker Innovation Hub now open on Chillicothe Street in downtown Portsmouth. This is a landmark facility that promotes entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity in the region.

Golden Bears

The Golden Bears program provides on-campus health and wellness, performing arts, and social opportunities for Scioto County residents over the age of 60.

Performing Arts Academy

The SSU Performing Arts Academy offers classes in the performing arts at Vern Riffe Center for the Arts.

VRCFA

The Vern Riffe Center for the Arts is the center for the performing arts in our area, serving as the host for numerous plays, musicals, concerts, and other events and educational opportunities.

Health & Recreation

Motorcycle Ohio Courses

Shawnee State University will be offering a series of Motorcycle Ohio Basic Rider Safety Courses on campus. The courses include both classroom and motorcycle range instruction.
