In addition to her focus on management, Staggs’s passion for criminology has ignited a newfound excitement in her academic pursuits. Working in the Human Resources Department on campus has provided her with practical experience for her major, while fueling her curiosity about her minor. In the classroom, she sees her background in management as a valuable asset for her future career, providing her with a diverse skill set that can be applied in various fields.

In SSU’s Management degree, students learn skills and techniques to enhance their level of decision-making, interpersonal skills, leadership, organizational skills, and communication. Working with various software and technical tools, students in the program gain hands-on experience advanced by participation in internships opportunities.

With graduation set for spring 2026, Staggs is on track to achieve her goals, fueled by her passion for law and justice. Reflecting on her decision to attend SSU over another regional university, Staggs acknowledges the importance of already being familiar with SSU and it being close to home as a deciding factor.
