Shawnee State University will be hosting an Open House for those community members interested in becoming members of the Golden Bear program. The Open House will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23 starting at 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the Morris University Center. Those interested in the program may attend the Open House to tour the facilities, ask questions, and sign up to become a member.

The Golden Bears program, established at Shawnee State University in 1985, provides on-campus health and wellness, social, and performing arts opportunities for Scioto County residents over the age of 60. Members have access to SSU’s exercise facilities, including classes for stretching and water aerobics, free admission to athletic games, and participation opportunities at campus events throughout the year.
