The Shawnee State University Foundation raised $51,633 during Day of Giving, thanks to the support of 90 campus and community donors. The annual fundraiser, held as part of Giving Tuesday—the philanthropic holiday traditionally observed the Tuesday after Thanksgiving—raises money for the Shawnee Fund.
As the Foundation’s unrestricted giving fund, the Shawnee Fund provides support across all areas of campus, including scholarships, campus grants, student and faculty research, facility enhancements, student and academic programming, and more. One of the foundation’s most in-demand funds, the Shawnee Fund can provide immediate support to the campus community and its most pressing needs.
“I am deeply grateful to the entire SSU community for coming together to help us reach a remarkable new milestone on Day of Giving,” said Jessica Webb, SSU Foundation’s Director of Annual Giving. “Your generosity directly fuels the future of our students. Thank you for believing in their success and for making such a meaningful difference in their lives.”
This year’s Day of Giving set a record for the Shawnee State University Foundation, surpassing all previous fundraising totals for the event. The $51,633 raised reflects the growing commitment of alumni, faculty, staff and community members to invest in the success of SSU students.
