Bear Well is SSU’s brand-new Free Wellness Program.
What is Bear Well?
Shawnee State University has partnered with Tri-State Rehab Services to bring students, athletes, faculty, and staff a new way to stay healthy, strong, and supported — on and off campus.
Located in Clark Memorial Library, the Bear Well Center for Wellness is here to promote a healthier, happier campus. Membership is completely FREE for Shawnee State students, faculty, and staff.
As A Member, You Have Access To:
- Regular Fitness Classes
- Posture & Ergonomic Assessments
- Monthly Step and Activity Challenges
- Access to the Bear Lounge (located inside the library)
- 1 Wellness Session per Month
- Additional Discounted Services
- Mindfulness, Breathwork, and Meditation Sessions
- Educational Workshops for Stress Management
- Designated Wellness Breaks During the Work and School Day

Wellness Sessions
Bear Well's Physical Recovery Lab will focus on preventing injuries, reducing pain, and enhancing physical function and recovery for students, faculty, and staff – especially those dealing with tension.
