Biography
Jeff Bauer, Ph.D., was appointed President of Shawnee State University by the SSU Board of Trustees in 2018.
Dr. Bauer has served in many leadership roles at Shawnee State over his 31-year history, including Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, Interim Dean for Research & Community Development, Interim Associate Provost, and Chair of the Department of Natural Sciences. He began as Shawnee State's first geology professor in 1987.
He is the proud parent of three Shawnee State graduates and says he thinks of them – and the thousands of students served by Shawnee State each year – when planning for the future.
