New Hire Performance Evaluations (Probationary Period)
FY 2021 Performance Management Process
We have entered the beginning of the FY21 Performance Management cycle. Similar to the last review period, there will be two processes:
- Executives and Administrators (including ATSS) – Goal Setting and Review
- Support Staff – Performance Expectation meetings and Review
Below is the timeline for the required key actions:

Below are the links to initiate the Goal Setting and Review forms through DocuSign. Each form begins with a quick guide that describes the process in more detail.
Goal Setting and Review Forms
- Executive Evaluation: Deans, General Counsel and Vice Presidents
- Supervisor Evaluation: Administrative employees with managerial and/or supervisory responsibilities
- Individual Professional Evaluation: Administrative employees without supervisory or managerial responsibilities, including ATSS
- Support Evaluation: Security Officers and CWA employees
We have attached a DocuSign guide (PDF) for employees who are new to DocuSign. If an employee has a DocuSign account question, they can email Sarah Brown at ext. 3460 or sbrown@shawnee.edu.
In summary, the most important elements of this process are three or more discussions:
- Performance Expectations (Goals and Competencies)
- Ongoing Coaching & Feedback
- Review for Employee Development (Goal Results and Competency strengths and development needs)
