SSU Sport Management launched Shawnee SportsNet in spring 2011.

What can I do?

A variety of roles need to be filled to make Shawnee SportsNet a success. On-air talent (play-by-play, color commentary), writers, producers…if you’re interested we can find a place for you.

Why should I get involved?

Recognizing the marketing and publicity benefits of producing their own content, many colleges and professional teams are now doing their broadcasts “in-house.” You’ll gain some great experience which will be helpful as you launch your career in the sport industry.

What is the time commitment?

As much or as little as you want it to be. You’ll get out it exactly what you put into it. The more you do, the more experience you’ll have to offer prospective employers.

How can I get involved in Shawnee SportsNet?

If you are interested, e-mail Dr. Rader ( Indicate what area(s) of the operation you are interested in. If you want to be on the air, training and an audition will be required.
