Campus Life with Hannah | Shawnee State

Meet Hannah.

For graduate student Hannah Blythe, Shawnee State University is more than a campus; it is where she found opportunities to learn, lead and belong.

Blythe considered attending a larger university, but after visiting Shawnee State, she decided to follow her family’s footsteps and become a Bear.

"In my family, we bleed blue and gray," Blythe said. "My father and sister are Shawnee State graduates, and soon I will be one, too."

Blythe became active on campus, founding a student club for young Republicans, serving as an orientation leader and as one of two students on the university’s Board of Trustees.

"I live at home with my parents, but my life is here at Shawnee State," Blythe said. "The experiences I’ve had inside and outside the classroom have changed my life."

As a second-year student in the Master of Occupational Therapy program, Blythe has gained real-world experience through clinical learning with patients of all ages.

"From day one, Shawnee has prepared me for my career and life after college," Blythe said. "I can’t wait to see where life takes me next, all thanks to Shawnee State."
