Becca Cinfio traveled a long way to come to Shawnee State University. Coming from a small high school, she wanted to pick a college that would give her a similar experience, where she’d be more than just a number. She and her twin sister both fell in love with Shawnee after just one visit.
“I never felt out of place here. Shawnee is my home.”
Like many students, it took some trial and error to find the right degree for her, but she couldn’t be happier to soon graduate with a Bachelor’s of Independent Studies concentrating in Art Therapy- a degree Becca hand-picked just for herself. She was inspired to enter the field by her late grandfather, who had passed just before she came to SSU. She wanted to pursue a degree that would allow her to help those suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia. We think that’s pretty outstanding.
