Rebecca is from Scioto County and graduated from SSU with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. After graduate school, she pursued a job in sales. The Ohio Lottery saw promise in Rebecca and hired her. She was the youngest person on staff at the time.

Now a faculty member, Rebecca teaches accounting at SSU. She embodies a hands-on teaching approach that utilizes real-world application. This is the same teaching approach that helped her develop the needed skills for her career. She still works for the Ohio Lottery, which helps with the application of real life situations to the course content.

Having a Certified Public Accountant on staff and different teaching approaches within the accounting program is what Rebecca believes sets SSU apart.

“The accounting program offers a diverse education. Every professor has different experience, backgrounds and teaching styles.”
