Shawnee State University welcomes author Mindy McGinnis for special lecture

Shawnee State University is pleased to welcome author Mindy McGinnis to campus for a special lecture as part of Books Build Bridges at 9 a.m. on April 26 in the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts.

McGinnis wrote “Not a Drop to Drink,” a story about a young woman defending her pond in a world where water has become a scarcity. It was published in 2013 by HarperCollins and was a 2015 feature title in the State Library of Ohio’s Choose to Read Ohio program.

Shawnee State's Ryan Warner travels to China to visit partner institutions

Shawnee State University’s Director of Center for International Programming & Activities, Ryan Warner, travelled to China to visit SSU’s Chinese partner institutions, South China Normal University and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), on March 9th through the 17th.

Shawnee State University's Plastics Engineering program receives donation from Krauss-Maffei Corporation

Shawnee State University has received a generous donation for the SSU Plastics Engineering Technology program of an LRX-S Robot and a KM 80/750 CX Injection Molding Machine from Krauss-Maffei Corporation.

Krauss-Maffei Corporation is the U.S. headquarters of The KraussMaffei Group, one of the world’s leading suppliers of machinery and systems for producing and processing plastics and rubber. Its products and services cover the whole spectrum of injection and reaction molding and extrusion technology.

SOPAA and Shawnee State University announce line-up for 2018-19 season

The Southern Ohio Performing Arts Association (SOPAA) and Shawnee State University have announced the new line-up for the 2018-19 season.

This season marks the 23rd year of the SOPAA/SSU partnership that has brought many exciting and intriguing performances to southern Ohio.

Subscription renewals will be mailed out early June, and new subscriptions and single ticket purchases will start July 9.
