Shawnee State Receives $2.7 million EDA grant for Kricker Innovation Hub
A $2.7 million Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant award will complete Shawnee State University's Kricker Innovation Hub in downtown Portsmouth, OH. The announcement was made to a crowd of business leaders, community supporters, students and Shawnee State faculty during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held today at the partially renovated facility at 3rd and Chillicothe Street.
Shawnee State's Digital History Lab receives $10,000 gift from Linda Donaldson
Shawnee State University is proud to announce the Digital History Lab has received a generous donation of $10,000 from Linda Donaldson.
Donaldson is a Portsmouth community member and business owner of Copies Galore on Second Street. She is also a member of Main Street Portsmouth. Donaldson has a degree in Library Science from the University of Kentucky. She has previously worked at the Portsmouth Library with Janet Steward, Dean of SSU’s Clark Memorial Library.
Sikora Family Dentistry donates to Shawnee State’s Dental Hygiene Program
Shawnee State University Development Foundation (SSUDF) is pleased to receive a generous gift from the Sikora Family Dentistry in support of SSU’s Dental Hygiene program.
Dr. Christine Sikora and her husband, Dr. William Sikora, have committed to $5,000 for over five years to the Dental Hygiene program. Funds will make it possible for students in the program to use towards patient fees, clinical fees, as well as travel costs for conferences.
