Pursuant to HB 197 of the 133rd Ohio General Assembly, the Board of Trustees of Shawnee State University will hold its September 11, 2020, Board meeting and Committee meetings by teleconference. Trustees and the public will be permitted to attend the meeting by teleconference.

Trustees may vote by teleconference, and resolutions and other actions taken by the Board will have the same effect as if the meeting had taken place in person.

Shawnee State University is proud to host the 2020 OhioX Virtual Tech Tour, starting at noon on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

Shawnee State University students grew more than 700 trees this spring and about 300 were given away July 27-28 as part of a National Arbor Day celebration.

Arbor Day is usually celebrated nationally in April, but alternate events were encouraged during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since SSU was on pandemic lockdown in April, the Department of Natural Sciences arranged to give away the trees in July instead.

The Shawnee State University Board of Trustees will meet Friday, June 26, at 4:30 p.m. in the Morris University Center Ballroom, located on the Shawnee State University campus.

The Executive Committee of the Board will meet at 1:30 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.  The Finance and Administration Committee will meet at 2:00 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.  The Academic and Student Affairs Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a mask.
