Shawnee State University welcomes Jeffrey Reaser, PhD, as part of the Distinguished Lecture Series

Shawnee State University will welcome Jeffrey Reaser, PhD, Author and Professor of Linguistics at North Carolina State University as part of the 2021-2022 Jane M.G. Foster Distinguished Lecture series starting at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29 in the Flohr Lecture Hall of the Clark Memorial Library.

Center for Public History opening this Fall at SSU

This fall Shawnee State University will open physical and virtual doors on the SSU Center for Public History. Located in the Clark Memorial Library, the new center’s mission is to advance the field of public history, provide SSU students with hands-on experience working on real-world projects, and help preserve the Portsmouth area’s history for generations to come.

Shawnee State University to host Evening with the College of Arts & Sciences

Shawnee State University’s Office of Admissions will host an Evening with the College of Arts & Sciences on Thursday, Oct. 21. The event welcomes high school students who are interested in learning more about SSU and the careers and opportunities possible with a degree in the field of arts and sciences.
