Shawnee State University’s Resident Assistant program offers leadership opportunities

For Senior Resident Assistant Cassidy Collins, Shawnee State University has become a second home. The Resident Assistant (RA) program at SSU consists of a group of upperclassmen students who oversee on-campus residents and assist the office of Housing & Residence Life with tasks and student-related needs.

Shawnee Game Conference to offer additional virtual experience

Shawnee State University’s Shawnee Game Conference (SGC) is partnering with the Kricker Innovation Hub (KIH) and SSU’s Office of Career Services to offer a virtual experience for this year’s conference in addition to the in-person sessions. SGC is an annual tradition at the university and is devoted to showcasing all aspects of gaming, game design, simulation, and immersive technology.

Kricker Innovation Hub to host Entrepreneurship in Gaming: Funding Your First Game

The Shawnee State University Kricker Innovation Hub will host “Entrepreneurship in Gaming: Funding Your First Game” as their next session of the Entrepreneurial Journey Speaker Series. The event, to be held virtually, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 28 starting at 5:30 p.m. and will serve as a kick-off to this weekend’s Shawnee Game Conference on SSU’s campus.

Shawnee State University will welcome Jeffrey Reaser, PhD, Author and Professor of Linguistics at North Carolina State University as part of the 2021-2022 Jane M.G. Foster Distinguished Lecture series starting at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29 in the Flohr Lecture Hall of the Clark Memorial Library.
