Shawnee State University has been ranked among the best colleges in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for the third year in a row.

Shawnee State University’s Office of Admissions will host a Showcase Day on Saturday, Nov. 6. The event welcomes high school students and parents who are interested in learning more about SSU and the various programs offered.

Shawnee State University’s Office of the Provost has announced new course registration dates for the Spring 2022 semester.

This fall Shawnee State University will open physical and virtual doors on the SSU Center for Public History. Located in the Clark Memorial Library, the new center’s mission is to advance the field of public history, provide SSU students with hands-on experience working on real-world projects, and help preserve the Portsmouth area’s history for generations to come.

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has named David Kilroy, Program Director of the Shawnee State University Kricker Innovation Hub, to participate in the 2021-2022 class of the Appalachian Leadership Institute.
