Shawnee State University’s Office of Admission has announced Orientation dates for those new students enrolling in Fall 2021 semester.

A 2006 alumnus of Shawnee State University, Chad Lore found a way to give back to his community in his role as a Nurse Practitioner at Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC).

A 2006 alumna, Shannon (Thomas) Andersen chose to attend Shawnee State after receiving a scholarship to continue her athletic career with the Women’s Basketball team. After graduation, Andersen felt the need to stand out in a different way – making an impact on someone’s life.

The Shawnee State University Kricker Innovation Hub will host “Entrepreneurship in Recovery” at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 as the next virtual installment of its Entrepreneurial Journey Speaker Series.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Shawnee State University will still host its 2021 Celebration of Scholarship (CoS) virtually. CoS is a peer-reviewed research conference that features academic presentations and exceptional projects which showcases SSU students in baccalaureate and graduate programs from different colleges across SSU's campus.

Ed Daniels was sworn in Jan. 29 to a nine-year term on the Shawnee State University Board of Trustees. Governor Mike Dewine appointed Daniels to the board in late 2020.

Shawnee State University has appointed Dr. Jennifer Pauley as the Interim Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences. Dr. Pauley, who has been with the university for nearly 15 years, was previously the Chair of the English & Humanities Department.

Shawnee State University will be hosting the 2021 Festival of Faculty Achievement virtually starting Friday, February 5. This year’s virtual conference will feature 20-50 minute lecture-style webinars, hosted by the Director of SSU’s Teaching & Learning Center (TLC), Patricia Spradlin.
