It all starts with registering for New Student Orientation! Log in to your MySSU account and click the Orientation tab to register.

Orientation FAQs

 

You do not need to bring anything specific to Orientation. However, make sure to check your account to make sure there are no additional documents needed for your student record.

Orientation Check-In begins at 9:00 a.m. and all required sessions will end by 12:30 p.m. There will be optional sessions offered until 2:00 p.m. including a housing tour and academic advising. Refer to the tentative schedule to view the optional sessions.

Yes, you can update your major at Orientation. If possible, we encourage you to let the Office of Admissions know about your change of major prior to arriving to Orientation so we can notify your academic advisor. This allows your first semester class schedule to be built in reference to your major requirements.

Billing Statements for the Autumn semester will be available mid-July. The statement will be available to view on your MySSU account and you will receive a notification from the university’s Office of the Bursar.
