Shawnee State University’s Chemistry BS- Industrial Track within the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry program is built on the same gold-standard foundation as our general chemistry degree—then customized to meet the needs of students interested in applied chemistry careers. This track prepares graduates for immediate entry into the scientific workforce or advanced study by combining core chemical principles with flexible, industry-relevant coursework.
The Industrial Chemistry Track emphasizes practical applications of chemistry in areas such as manufacturing, environmental science, informatics, nanotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. - Cognate Courses (19-20 credits): Physics I or Calculus-based Physics I, General Biology I, Physical Geology/Human Environment, plus one of General Biology II, Intro to STEM Computer Programming, or Mineralogy
