Dr. Steven Rader serves as the Associate Provost for Personal and Professional Development at Shawnee State University.
Dr. Rader completed his academic training at Ohio University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sports Sciences with a concentration in Athletic Administration, a Master of Sports Administration (MSA), and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration.
Throughout his tenure at SSU, Dr. Rader has served in many leadership roles, including president of the Shawnee Education Association, founding director of C.H. Lute School of Business, and Department Chair of Rehabilitation & Sport Professions.
In his current role as Associate Provost for Personal and Professional Development, Dr. Rader oversees the university-wide mission to guarantee that every SSU student completes an internship, co-op, clinical, or other hands-on work experience prior to graduation.
Experiential learning gives our graduates a competitive advantage as they enter the workforce... The Office of Personal & Professional Development will work to connect academic departments to regional employers and expand earn-and-learn opportunities.
