Information Technology as a Service
Welcome to Information Technology Services (ITS). ITS is charged with offering outstanding technology services to the students, faculty and staff of Shawnee State University. ITS ensures that enterprise systems and mission-critical functions are fully operational on a continuous basis, standard technology is regularly refreshed, and that networked computing resources are available based on user roles, appropriate access guidelines and campus policy.
An expansive use of institutional technologies at Shawnee State is necessary to support campus operations and meet strategic objectives. As SSU commits to deliver its Mission, these technologies serve to deliver classroom instruction, support departmental processes, perform student business, promote community involvement and are utilized to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
ITS develops and manages these technologies deploying a common architecture in its base computing environment that strategically aligns SSU's IT investments. Technology is then integrated to departmental specification in order to support shared services on campus.
