“I am extremely excited to be at Shawnee State University,” said Dr. Kline. “Being able to make a direct impact on someone’s life is something I am grateful to have the opportunity to do. Every student has a story to share, and it’s fascinating to have the opportunity to be a part of those stories.”

Dr. Kline brings experience in a variety of capacities at Zane State College, including as Dean of Arts & Sciences and Chief Student Affairs Officer and Department Chair of Engineering, Math & Natural Sciences. She also held the position of Associate Professor of Biology and Environmental Science, Safety & Health at the college. Most recently, she served as Lead Environmental Scientist at ICF, Inc., a consulting firm based in Reston, Virginia.

“I’m most looking forward to learning what the students need and want from their view,” she said on her role at SSU. “It’s important to be able to meet with those students and ask them how we can help them get to where they want to go in their careers and in their lives.”

Dr. Kline holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education & Administration from Ohio University. Her appointment at SSU follows a national search by the university’s Dean of Students Search Committee.
