Shane is a stand-out student at Shawnee State University; he is the President of Sexuality and Gender Acceptance (SAGA), Vice President of African, Hispanic, Asian and Native American (AHANA) student organization, Shawnee Ambassador, and Orientation Leader. By adding so many different opportunities to his resume, he hopes to be a pop of color in the business world.

Shawnee State University has truly made Shane feel at home, even though he wasn’t sure what to expect from a small university. He describes every aspect he has experienced from the various club activities to his classes as something he has fallen in love with even more.

“Things are great. I have a lot of friends, I know a lot of people, and the faculty is really nice. I’m just really comfortable here.”

Shane dreams of working for Google one day. With his experience learning about businesses, how to solve marketing problems, and how to use technology he will be truly prepared for his career once he finishes his degree. He has taken advantage of the opportunities around him, allowing him to enjoy every aspect of his experience at Shawnee State. When he finishes studying for his bachelor’s degree, he will have a bachelor of science in business administration with a concentration in marketing. This will allow him to pursue his dreams of working for a large company like Google or for a non-profit that supports children.
