Katherine Meriwether is a Middle Childhood Education major who believes Shawnee State University’s education program is just as good as what any other university has to offer. Katherine enjoyed her experience at Shawnee State because its small classes encouraged her to participate in class discussions and become familiar with her peers and professors.
Katherine has had several unique opportunities that have allowed her to travel abroad to Japan, Germany, France and Czechia. “You don’t realize how much you’ve learned until you started student teaching” she admits.
Katherine has been placed for teaching at two separate schools teaching social studies and language arts following graduation.
