Tree saplings in cups

The following lists of trees have been compiled through the cooperative efforts of the Portsmouth Shade Tree Commission, the Shawnee State University Campus Tree Care Team, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Urban Forestry Coordinator, and are approved for street planting within the City of Portsmouth.

Species denoted by this tree iconDeciduous tree have been evaluated as excellent performers in Portsmouth. For pictures and maps of specimens in Portsmouth that can be viewed in public parks, Greenlawn Cemetery, or on SSU Campus, click on any species listed in blue.
