Bridge to Success is a seven-week program designed to give applicants with low ACT or SAT scores a chance to complete required developmental (pre-college level) courses in the summer to be able to enroll as an incoming freshman in the fall. If your ACT or SAT scores place you in two or more developmental courses — Reading, English, or Mathematics — you will automatically be admitted to the Bridge to Success program.
During the program, in addition to your developmental coursework, you will receive career counseling and academic advising to determine the best path to reaching your goals — whether that is through a college degree from Shawnee State or an alternate path with one of our education partners, including community colleges and career and technical centers.
As a Bridge to Success student, you will be conditionally accepted to Shawnee State University. Once you successfully complete Bridge to Success, you will be admitted as an incoming freshman for the fall semester.
