Shawnee State University was created to make a college education more accessible for students in our region. Today, the ways in which we interpret what it means to be "open access" are different than 30 years ago. Participants in this forum will be asked to brainstorm answers to the following questions.

  1. What are the most important aspects of “open access” as currently practiced at Shawnee State University?
  2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of “open access” as currently practiced at SSU?
  3. What do you see as the critical aspects of an accessible college education for a new generation?
