NEW STUDENTS
If you are a new student (you have never been enrolled at SSU) and
have not yet applied for admission, the application process to our
health science programs includes 5 steps.
Step 1: Submit an on-line
application for admission to Shawnee State University.https://myssu.shawnee.edu/ics/
Step 2: Request your high school transcripts.
Step 3: Request official transcripts from all colleges or
universities previously attended.
Step 4: Submit ACT or SAT results. (Most high schools include test
results on the transcript)
Step 5: Click on the program link(s) to print the health science
program application packet of your choice.
The application packet will be a PDF. You must print the application
and any supporting forms and return them to the Office of Admission
with a $30 application fee.
PREVIOUSLY OR CURRENTLY ENROLLED SHAWNEE
STATE STUDENTS
If you have attended or are currently attending Shawnee State
University, you may skip steps 1– 4. These documents should have
been filed before you enrolled at Shawnee State University. Proceed
to Step 5, click on the program link(s) to download the application
packet. The application packet will be a PDF. You must print
the application and any supporting forms and return them to the
office of Admission with a $30 application fee.
ALL STUDENTS
A non-refundable one-time fee of $30 (regardless of the number of
health science programs for which you apply) is required for
processing your health science file(s). The fee MUST accompany the
health science application. You may return this form, with a check
or money order, to:
Shawnee State University, Office of Admission,
940 Second Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662-4344.
Do note, there may be program specific requirements which must be
met. Certain programs require additional forms that must be
submitted in order to complete the application. Please read
carefully the instructions for your program.
