Attendance & Performance Policy

The Shawnee State University Performance Academy holds a very strict attendance policy. The Academy is a professional training program where being present is critical to developing a dancers talents.

Dancers will have the opportunity to perform in an end of the semester showcase. This showcase is optional, should a student NOT wish to perform in the showcase this intention must be made clear to the program coordinator at the beginning of the semester. It is the assumption that all students enrolled in the SSUPA will be performing in the end of the semester showcase.

Dancers who are intending to perform, but need to miss a class for whatever reason will not be included in the choreography that was set for that specific day. Dancers who miss two or more classes will be removed from he showcase entirely. There are no refunds on tuition for the program.
