Women's Center

The Women’s Center

The Women's Forum – a membership organization that preceded the Women’s Center – was formed in the fall of 2000. In the spring of 2006, the SSU Board of Trustees created the Women’s Center.

The Center is dedicated to providing women with access to a diverse array of resources, in part, to increase awareness of gender-related issues, to provide a forum for debate and discourse about issues affecting women, to encourage the creation of academic programs for women’s studies, and to create an atmosphere in which women are valued, treated with respect, and afforded the same opportunities available to others within the university and in the community.

The Women’s Center is located in the lower level of Massie Hall, Room 019.
