Phones come in a variety of types including analog and digital. When you purchase a phone for your on-campus housing unit, be sure it states that it is an analog phone. If you purchase a phone using any other technology it will not function properly with the University’s phone switch. This includes digital phones and newer cordless phones with DSS technology.
