Computer Replacement Schedule
Shawnee State University initiated an ongoing replacement schedule for all computers on campus in the year 2000. Student use systems are currently on a three year replacement schedule while office systems are on a four year replacement schedule.
Replacement systems are purchased in accordance with IUC Purchasing Contracts. Current price quotes for standard systems can be found on the UIS Equipment Quotes web page.
All systems are inventoried and have an assigned replacement rotation. Replacements for student use systems are installed during the summer breaks while replacement systems for University offices are deployed during the winter breaks.
