Students
Before software media can be acquired, students MUST first obtain a license for the software. To obtain a license, visit the link “Getting a License.” You will not be granted access to the software media unless you have completed the licensing procedures.
Student Purchase
Microsoft has made the CD-ROM’s for selected applications available for purchase by students so that you can retain a copy of the media in your home. These CD-ROM’s are available in the Shawnee State Bookstore. You will not be permitted to purchase the software media unless you have completed the licensing procedures first.

Faculty/Staff
Faculty/Staff may borrow copies of University-licensed products covered under this agreement, for use during their association with the University. Home use rights of the applications covered under this agreement are an extension of the University’s License. Employees of the university therefore do not own a license for the software applications and they are not eligible to purchase the CD-ROM’s available in the bookstore. Any software installed by university employees must be removed from a home system or a license must be purchased if they leave the institution at any time.
Borrow: All media used for employee installations must be borrowed from the Shawnee State University’s Help Desk. To borrow software you must have a Shawnee State ID. You will not be permitted to borrow the software media unless you have first completed the “Home Use Rights Agreement.” To complete the “Home Use Rights Agreement,” visit the link “Getting a License.” Software can be retained by the faculty/staff member till they are no longer associated with SSU.
