About your network Login account
Choose the
scenario below that best describes your status and follow the
directions. If you are still experiencing
login problems, please bring a picture ID (preferably a SSU
Student ID) to the UIS Help Desk, located in the basement of
the
Administration Building. Please note: For security
reasons, no passwords or other information will be given out
over the phone or to any other person except for the student. PLEASE NOTE: Your account will be deleted at the end of the current academic session, unless you are pre-registered for an upcoming academic session.
Scenario 1
§ If
you are a current student during the previous
academic session, and are pre-registered for an upcoming
academic session:
Your username
and password will be the same as it was during the previous
academic session.
Scenario 2
§ If
you are a student that attended previously, but has not
attended in the previous academic session: Your username will be the same as it was the previous academic session attended, PROVIDED IT HAS NOT BEEN MORE THAN TWO CONSECUTIVE ACADEMIC SESSIONS (please see scenario 4).
Your password
has been reset to your date of birth (YYYYMMDD)
PLEASE NOTE:
All account content will be deleted, and only your login name
will remain the same.
Scenario 3
§ If
you are a new student and have never attended SSU before:
Your username
will be your last name, along with your first initial with no
spaces and all lowercase: doej
Your one-time
password will be your date of birth in the following format:
YYYYMMDD If you encounter a problem, you can try placing a number after your username. This is done in cases were there may be students with the same first initial and same last name, i.e. Tracey Smith and Tony Smith. Tracey’s username will be "smitht" and Tony’s will be "smitht2". Scenario 4
§ If
you are a returning student, who has not attended for more
than two
consecutive academic sessions, you will be assigned a new account:
Your username
will be your last name, along with your first initial with no
spaces and all lowercase: doej
Your one-time
password will be your date of birth in the following format:
YYYYMMDD
If you
