Rant

Bubba's
Banter
Hey Gang,
It seems as if there aren't enough
hours in the day anymore to accomplish everything I need
to do. I, like most of you, have been up to my ears in
school work. The good news is that in another 9 weeks I
will be done. At that point I will have my master's in
guidance and counseling. A big thanks goes out to you
and your comrades for helping push me in that direction.
It has been a struggle over the last two plus years, but
I have had to realize a very important lesson. The only
thing I can do is take it one day at a time. I'm not
saying do not plan ahead. You should definitely be
planning and looking towards your future, but we never
know what tomorrow may hold for each of us. Sometimes on
this road of life we may have to take detours. When we
take a detour we still have our end destination in mind.
Just be prepared for potholes and repaving projects that
might slow you down. JUST KEEP MOVING FORWARD!
Summer is closing in on us fast. I would like for each
of our veteran students to take a moment and welcome our
new family members on the messageboard. I know that each
of you can remember the feelings of anxiety,
nervousness, and insecurity that each of you
experienced. A warm hello will go a long ways to make
them feel welcomed into our family.
We will be out on one more round of school visits.
Unfortunately, the time frame will be around the first
week of May. In the meantime, please continue to push
through until the end of the school year, and keep those
homework assignments up to date.

Ashley’s
Advice
Hey guys! I'm
looking forward to seeing everyone at the parent meeting and
meeting all of the new students! I hope school has been
going well for everyone. I've been super busy and I'm
looking forward to having a break. I know that by now most
of you seniors are getting responses back from colleges and
I wish you the best of luck! College is so exciting and I
know you will all do well! If any of you need anything you
can call or e-mail me! I can't wait to see you!

(Remember, it is essential we
receive your assignment. Failure to complete assignments
will affect your participation status for the summer.)
Pt. 1.
Write a 1-2 page autobiography including facts about
yourself that we either don't know or wouldn't expect.
Pt. 2.
Post a message on the UBMS
messageboard. (Scroll up and click the link on the
left-hand side of this page.) Veteran Students--post a
welcome to the new students. New Students--post a 1-2
paragraph message introducing yourself.

UBMS Photo Page
Heather Holland
came up with the idea of sharing summer photos with one another
through the internet. She has setup a webpage through
photobucket.com in which UBMS participants can share their photos
and order a CD of photos if they desire. The following are
directions and a link so that you can view and upload your own
photos.
-
save your pictures to a folder on your computer
-
go to
www.photobucket.com
-
put in these two items:
sign in name:
UBMSsummer2005
password:
bubba
-
click on browse and find the folder your pictures
are in
-
double click on the picture (it will bring you back
to the main page) then click submit
-
it’ll take some time
depending on how fast or slow your computer is, but your picture
will load up there.
-
keep adding pictures from the summer, the final
trip, anything to do with UBMS
