Faculty and Staff Development

Please contact me with your needs for faculty and staff development in the form of one day workshops or semester-long/year-long Learning Communities.

I have confirmation that the CYBERTREK LC will continue. The CyberTrek Community looks at electronic resources for teaching and learning.  These resources have immediate applicability to distance learning. They have experimented with and had members and guests demo resources like Dreamweaver, WordPress, Jing, Screencast-O-Matic, VoiceThread, etc.

Also, the OIT staff has demonstrated Bb resources like Pronto and Echo 360 for us. They also promoted and participated in webinars and other online activities made available through the TLC. CyberTrek is open to all and has a coursesite on Blackboard as well as a wiki site (http://shawneefaculty.pbworks.com/) and a blog site (http://shawneefaculty.blogspot.com/).

Other possibilities for Learning Communities are Early Service Faculty, Advising, Adjunct Academy, Research & Publishing. If you are interested in one of these or have an idea of your own, please tear off the bottom and drop it off in the TLC, Massie 019B.
