To be allowed to register for classes during your Orientation session, you must either have taken the ACT/SAT or placement. Students are placed into the appropriate English and Math courses based upon ACT/SAT scores. Transfer students do not need placement if they are transferring English from another institution. Please request that high school and college transcripts be forwarded to Shawnee State prior to your Orientation date. **** Students without transcripts will not be permitted to register until transcripts have been received. P.S. Don’t wait until May 14th to process your financial aid forms. If you have not already begun the process, call our Financial Aid Office now at 1-800-959-2SSU. Transfer students need financial aid transcripts from the college or university previously attended. Students with equivalent English and/or Math credit are exempt from placement testing. Students with special needs such as learning disabilities or physical challenges should contact James Weaver in the Success Center, 351-3594, prior to attending orientation.
