 Summer Semester 2008 Orientation
 Wednesday, May 14th for students enrolling for Summer session.
 

Our individualized sessions give the freshman or transfer student the opportunity to learn about the Shawnee State University experience.  Student orientation leaders, staff, and faculty members will help you through the orientation process.

If you have completed the requirements, please plan to arrive at 1:00 p.m . in the Micklethwaite Banquet Hall in the University Center.

To be allowed to register for classes during your  Orientation session, you must either have taken the ACT/SAT or placement. Students are placed into the appropriate English and Math courses based upon ACT/SAT scores. Transfer students do not need placement if they are transferring English from another institution.

Please request that high school and college transcripts be forwarded to Shawnee State prior to your Orientation date.  

**** Students without transcripts will not be permitted to register until transcripts have been received.

P.S.  Don’t wait until May 14th to process your financial aid forms.  If you have not already begun the process, call our Financial Aid Office now at 1-800-959-2SSU.  Transfer students need financial aid transcripts from the college or university previously attended. Students with equivalent English and/or Math credit are exempt from placement testing. Students with special needs such as learning disabilities or physical challenges should contact James Weaver in the Success Center, 351-3594, prior to attending orientation.
