Multicultural Student Affairs

The Multicultural Affairs Office located in the Student Success Center was established to:

  • Provide multicultural students with the academic, social, and personal support services necessary to facilitate their success while enrolled at the University.
  • Assist and foster within the University community a respect for and the appreciation of tradition, culture, and history of various multicultural and ethic student groups.
  • Coordinate academic and administrative support for multicultural student development.
  • Present programs for students of various multicultural ethnicities that will improve their retention and leadership skills.

Multicultural Student Resource Library

There are several types of resources available for student use which includes information on internship  programs, career resources,  and graduate schools.  Films, magazines and books on diversity issues are on hand for students use.

Multicultural Student Programs and Services

Academic Support Programs

The Office coordinates with the staff of the Student Success Center tutoring program in a number of subjects to facilitate strong academic development.  Helping students with class and course selection, educational planning, workshops on study skills, test anxiety and other services to maximize a students full potential.

Cultural Awareness Programs

The following is a list of some of the programs that are sponsored by various student organizations and in cooperation with the Multicultural Affairs Office:

The Multi-Ethnic Student organizations consist of Ahana and International Student Club
