This fall, there are six student tutors working in the Center: Nate, Rebecca, Mark, Tim, Kelly, and Jessamyn.

Plans after college
I plan to attend graduate school and obtain my Ph.D. in English, with a concentration in contemporary literature and film studies.
Favorite things to read
 
I enjoy literature from numerous periods and genres, ranging from Elizabethan tragedy to contemporary transgressive fiction to graphic narrative.  Some of my favorite authors include: Chuck Palahniuk, Anaïs Nin, Lorrie Moore, Flannery O'Connor, Mary Anne Mohanraj, John Webster, T.S. Eliot, Alan Moore . . . and too many more to name!
Favorite things to write
Everything!
Hobbies/ interests
Film studies, costume design, sewing, painting, traveling, language studies, etc.
 

Mark

Favorite things to read Charles Bukowski, William Faulkner, Alex Jones, Chuck Palahniuk, and Thomas Pynchon
Hobbies/ interests In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, watch films, and listen to music.  My hobbies include making music, recording other artists, making short films, writing poetry/prose, and acquiring vinyl.
   

Tim

Major English
Plans after college I hope to eventually become an author.  While writing my books, it would be nice to have a reliable editorial job.
Favorite things to read Douglas Adams's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and subsequent novels (Dirk Gently novels, Forgotten Realms novels)
Favorite things to write Given a vast amount of time, I like to dabble in fantasy story writing.  When stressed for time (which is the norm), I tend to write the occasional poem.
Hobbies/ interests Reading and writing, of course; hanging out with friends and remembering times passed; playing video games goes without saying
   

Kelly

Major English
Plans after  college I would like to continue school and work in editing while working on my own creative writing.
Favorite things to read I enjoy fantasy/fiction books.  I like a lot of Forgotten Realms authors.
Hobbies/ interests With what little time I have, I like to read, draw, write, and just spend time with friends.
   

Jessamyn

Major English
Plans after college I plan on obtaining my Master's degree in library and information sciences, and I would love to work as an archivist or academic librarian specializing in popular culture.
Favorite things to read Classic literature, books I remember from my childhood, the Harry Potter series
