Information for Instructors

The Reading and Writing Center is here to help coach students through the writing process.  Peer tutors are mindful of academic integrity policies.  They will not write papers for students; they will not proofread and edit papers.  Instead, they will give students constructive feedback on their work and help them learn to identify and correct their own errors.  If you want to encourage a student to seek help from the Reading and Writing Center, please fill out a referral form.  The information you provide will help tutors work with your student.

If you would like to have a tutor come to your class and tell your students about the services available in the Reading and Writing Center, contact Debra Knutson, Assistant Professor of English/Director of Composition, 351-3264.

If you know a student who would make a good tutor, please encourage him/her to pick up an application in the RWC.
