Grammar OWL

Are you struggling with where to put the commas in a particular sentence?  Are you frustrated because your computer keeps putting a green line under a word that looks right to you?  Are you worried that you've confused then and than again?

You don't need to come into the Reading and Writing Center.  The Grammar OWL can help!

OWL is an acronym for Online Writing Lab; it is the term reading and writing centers use to refer to their online components.  Our Grammar OWL is an email service for students who have simple questions about mechanics, grammar, and usage.

Send your questions to grammar@shawnee.edu Please use your SSU email account.  Tutors check the Grammar OWL during each shiftReplies come from tutor email accounts, not from the OWL address.

We do not have the resources to respond to entire papers via email.  If you need extensive help with a paper, you must visit the Center in person.  See the list of sample questions if you aren't sure whether yours is appropriate.
