Assessment Mini Grants

As an institution, SSU needs to continue to work with a mandate from North Central to improve and expand assessment efforts.  Even though the Higher Learning Commission of North Central has a new set of Criteria, assessment is still central to accreditation (http://www.ncahlc.org/download/2003Overview.pdf).  T

his is particularly true for AQIP institutions where continuous improvement and striving toward quality programs and processes is so important. In addition, the Ohio Board of Regents has recently embarked on an assessment plan that requires each Ohio institution of higher education to develop a Student Success Plan. Click here to access SSU's Student Success Plan.  The purpose and end of assessment is to improve academic programs and build our institution.

Mini-grants are available up to $5,000 for assessment projects to be undertaken at the GEP level, the departmental level, and/or the programmatic level.
