Position Description |
The Department of English
and Humanities is
accepting applications for a continuing contract (tenure-track)
faculty position, beginning Fall 2012 (pending available funding).
Primary duties include teaching composition courses, World
Literature, Western and Non-Western Civilization and Literature
courses. Standard teaching load is
12 hours per semester with additional responsibilities to
include student advising, committee service, and participation
in departmental activities.

Position
Qualifications |
PhD
(Assistant Professor) or ABD (Senior Instructor) in English or
related field required by August 1, 2012. Required: Three
years of college teaching experience, evidence of teaching
effectiveness, and credentials and teaching experience in
composition and Anglophone literature, literature of Americas,
or comparative literature. Desirable: Teaching experience in
an interdisciplinary field (such as history and literature) and
fluency and teaching experience in a foreign language. Teaching
introductory foreign language courses is a possibility. |
