Shawnee State University's Clark
Planetarium is available for school field trips during the
entire school year. We offer
planetarium shows for all ages, grade levels, and learning styles. Our planetarium
presentations are designed to inspire, encourage, and stimulate
learning and discovery.
The Clark Planetarium is equipped
with computer imaging equipment that can simulate a variety of
environments. See the constellations! Find the North Star! Visit a planet!
Fly through a galaxy! Travel down
the axis of a DNA molecule!
Every visit to the Clark
Planetarium is an adventure in space and time!

How to Schedule a Visit
Reservations
can be made by calling (740) 351-3125, Monday
through Friday. If no one answers your call, please leave a message
on the voice mail and we will return your call as soon as possible.
You are encouraged to schedule your school's visit to the planetarium
at least one month before you plan to visit. To make a reservation
by phone please have the following information handy:
Your
name.
Your organization's name.
Address and phone numbers where you can be
contacted.
Grade level and number that will be attending.
Title(s) of programs requested.
Preferred date(s) and time(s).
Dates and Times
Programs
may be scheduled Monday - Friday. Dates and times will differ for
different shows.
Number of Students
The Planetarium holds a maximum of 66 people.
Larger groups will have to make arrangements for two or more separate shows.
Fees
The
Planetarium charges a fee of $2 per person, with a minimum of $35
total per show.
Admissions
fees will be billed. NO CASH PLEASE.
Location
The Clark Planetarium is located inside the
Advanced Technology Center (ATC 124) on the Shawnee State University
campus. Students may
be dropped off on the East side of the building and buses may then
be parked in the adjoining parking lot. School groups must enter the
east door and wait in the lobby by the Aristech Pendulum for seating
in the planetarium.
