Even though Shawnee State still has among the lowest tuition and fee packages in the state, college is an expensive proposition for all but a very few families. And those expenses grow each year, even out-pacing inflation. Many students graduate with debt, forcing some to leave the area in search of higher paying jobs so they can speed up repayment. Thus your philanthropy, whether to a personally named fund or to The Friends of Shawnee State, our general scholarship fund, helps our students eliminate debt or at least reduce it.
