Executive Director
What a special year the past one has been for Shawnee State
University and its friend and fundraising arm, the Development
Foundation.
The University celebrated its 20th anniversary this September,
and preparations for the week-long event began back in January.
Shawnee State University’s faculty and staff spent much of the
year preparing to become a semester school with faculty
rewriting syllabi
and staff creating the processes that allow for such massive
changes.
These are just two activities of the myriad that are propelling
Shawnee State into the future, all while focusing upon
excellence.
The Development Foundation has been hard at work to help ensure
the quality we strive for by raising the funds to expand
programming, enhance facilities, and fund innovative activities.
In fact, many of the donors honored in this report are doing
just that by making “advanced gifts” in the quiet phase of our
capital campaign to be announced later this year.
Their gifts and others help our students reach their educational
and career goals and enhance the community we all call home.
This annual report, as have all those in past years, serves as a
look
back on your gifts and the activities that your generosity
funds. It also
includes our audited Financial Statement, just one way we remain
fully
accountable to you. But most important, in its pages are our
lists of
donors. Including everyone, donors of small gifts and large ones
alike,
allows us to honor you for your philanthropy. Your generosity
helps us
ensure our excellence, and for that we are grateful.
As we look to our next university milestone—our 25th
anniversary—
we look to you to ensure that it is filled with the promise that
today
brings.
We are Poised for Tomorrow, and we trust that as we thank you,
