The Ohio South Consortium Offers Pre-employment Training for American Centrifuge; Shawnee State University is offering the Associate Technician Technology Training, a pre-employment training program for the American Centrifuge Facility, a Division of USEC Inc. The classes will be held on Wednesdays, Jan. 16 to May 8, 2013, 5:30-9:30 p.m. at the OSU South Centers at Piketon, Endeavor Center. more

Teacher Education Scholarship established at Shawnee State University; Frederick McKinley, graduate of Lucasville High School and The Ohio State University taught high school mathematics before serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Lieutenant McKinley was a navigator on a B24 bomber and died during a bombing mission in 1945. He was dedicated to teaching, education and mathematics. more

Roberson Named to Dean's List at Shawnee State University; David Todt, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs at Shawnee State University, has released the Dean's List for the Spring Semester 2012. To be named on the list, students must be full time and achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better. Morgan Roberson, of Norwalk, has been named to the list for Spring Semester 2012.
